Wanda Shaw, a Chinese native from Taiwan, came to the U.S. in 1984. She has been an American citizen since 1998. She and her husband of 24 years have two daughters that they adopted from China. In 2005, Wanda founded Huntsville Chinese Village in response to many requests of offering Chinese language lessons. For the last 7 years, Wanda taught all the classes and organized all the cultural activities for Huntsville Chinese Village. Her level of energy is contagious, and she has the ability to inspire others to take risks they can never imagine.
Her experiences in international trade, social work, and teaching have made her a great candidate to run a small business as such. She can work with Chinese immigrants that don’t understand the American culture. She is also capable of providing Chinese language and cultural education to Americans. We live in a global society where inter-cultural understanding and cooperation are getting more and more important.
